EQUALISES THE WEIGHT DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CLIMBING PARTNERS

Don't like climbing with people much lighter or heavier than you? This won’t be a problem anymore with the Ohm from Edelrid! The upward resistance means that much less force is applied to the belayer. It makes the belayer 25 kg heavier! This means that in the event of a fall, the likelihood of a collision is much lower.
You use the Ohm instead of the first climbing set and assist with braking. When the lead climber falls, the Ohm increases the friction on the rope so that the lighter belayer can hold the heavier partner without suddenly being pulled up and slamming into the rock wall.

IMPROVED HANDLING

The Ohm is installed in the first bolt in the safety chain. In the second generation, the Ohm is fitted with a swivel joint, so it no longer matters which way you attach the Ohm. This means that there is no rope friction when the rope is ready for use.
