Giro vs 2 - new canyoning descender
Fast-closing aluminum descender for descending canyons - freedom of movement when you need it.
The GIRO vs 2 descender is designed for descent of canyons, dry and in the water.
The carabiner to be used for the anchor of the descender body to the ventral of the harness must be large to prevent rubbing with the descender while it is being turned to effect the blocking. Some valid carabiners are Petzl William, Edelrid HMS Strike Triple FG or AustriAlpin Rondo HMS or something similar.
During the entire abseil maneuver you must NEVER release the free part of the scaffolding rope from your hand. In water canyons, it should not be introduced into deep ponds with the rope installed in the descent. To prevent these dangerous situations, the abseil rope must be installed slightly above the water surface.
Check how easy it can be to block yourself during your abseil maneuvers and use your hands with complete freedom. Different positions for every situation
