This is a small guidebook of less than 100 pages, which gets to the point. The forty or so descents (including starting variants) concern two main sectors: the Sierra de Guara where 28 descents on the different valleys are described, and a dozen other routes further north, from Monte Perdido (east) to Pamplona (west).
Each site is summarized on a double page, where we find:
- The name of the canyon, its starting altitude, a color indicating the level of difficulty, the season of practice, the type of surrounding rock, the rating, the difference in altitude, the length, the average journey time.
- a short, very concise text presenting the descent, possible points of attention, the recommended ropes
- a quick description of the accesses, approach, descent and return, with the GPS points and their positioning on the map
- a topographic map of the sector concerned, with the accesses highlighted
- a schematic drawing representing the geographical configuration of the canyon and the main obstacles of the route
- finally one (or sometimes 2 or 3) photos.
The work presents in the introduction some recommendations, a reminder of the ratings, a glossary and a general map allowing to understand the situation of the different sites. At the end of the work, the list of canyons classified according to their "difficulty".
