Edelrid Dyneema Sling 8mm II

  What is innovative is that the Dyneema has been biologically developed, with the same strength that you are used to from the previously developed Dyneema. The sling is still very strong, lightweight and equally durable. The sling has a maximum pulling force of 22kn, as you would expect from a sling. You can use the sling to collect your materials or anchor it to the wall. Furthermore, the sling has a double-stitched loop at both ends that provides extra strength, making it last for several seasons. What is bio-based Dyneema?
In line with the pursuit of a sustainable future, the first ever bio-based ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fiber has been developed. This latest fiber technology comes from renewable and bio-based raw materials, which do not detract from the strength and quality of the sling. In this way, as little fossil fuels are used as possible, which significantly reduces the ecological footprint of the product. In addition, bio-based Dyneema is certified according to the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC), which guarantees a sustainable, transparent and traceable supply chain.

Cons

• The dyneema material is more expensive
• Lower melting point (145 °C instead of 215 °C)
• Tying knots in Dyneema slings is not recommended. Knotting reduces the breaking strength, even more so with dyneema slings than with nylon slings
