 Sterling HTP (High Tenacity Polyester) ropes are made of 100% polyester and offer significant advantages over mixed fiber static ropes. The advantages in using HTP are the better overall durability and strength, but also extremely low elongation. With less elasticity, the HTP is a very efficient rope to descend and a height rescue situations. Polyester also has a natural resistance to moisture, UV, and chemicals so that the guide is less good electricity and is able to perform better in the areas of harsh environments than mixed fiber ropes.
