CT Sport Chain
CT Climbing Technology Sport Chain multi chain is the ultra-light daisy chain designed for use in sport climbing by the Italian brand Climbing Technology. Its shorter length compared to the Multi Chain Evo makes it easy to carry and perfect for organizing belays on sport routes in crags or in the mountains.
Like the other multi chains, Sport Chain consists of a chain of dyneema rings, each with a single strength of 24 kN. This system is extremely safe because it prevents the possibility of clipping outside the maximum strength point.
Sport Chain comes with a Salto Screw carabiner at the end of the last ring, making it easier to reach the chain and secure yourself.
Main features:
- ideal, on multi-pitch routes, for self-belaying at stances, for abseiling and as an étrier. In crag climbing it can be used as a lanyard for self-belaying and for the following descent from a belay station with a lower-off ring;
- equipped with an innovative loop for the connection to the harness (registered design), with six wide intermediate loops and a sling at the end;
- this single-loop-based construction reduces the chance of error and the danger of it moving out of the anchor, typical of traditional daisy chains.
