Made for the professional and built for the extremes, the Fenix HP35R Rechargeable Professional Headlamp is built to perform. The rotary and button combo switch allows you to choose between different levels of spotlight, floodlight, or both—for a jaw-dropping 4000 max lumens with an almost 500-yard throw. The battery pack contains two built-in 5000mAh batteries and can be used as a power bank to charge other devices. Built into the battery case is a red safety light used for alerting others to your location. The SAR edition comes with a heat-resistant silicon strap, helmet mount, and helmet clips, whereas the standard version has a perforated black-out strap.
Fenix HP35R LEDs
The head of the Fenix HP35R contains three LEDs. Two warm Luminus SST20 LEDs for a wide beam at close range and one white, neutral XHP70 LED with a large reflector for long range. You can also activate all three LEDs simultaneously for the most light output. This allows you to choose the right beam for each situation. After all, you need less range in your base camp at dusk than when you have to search a forest in pitch darkness.
- Spot-and-floodlight delivers a max output of 4000 lumens and high CRI floodlight delivers a max output of 1200 lumens.
- Utilizes one XHP70 neutral white LED, two Luminus SST20 warm white LEDs; with a life span of 50,000 hours each.

- Flame retardant and fire resistant rubber headband and quick-assembly shroud design enable the lamp to be compatible with different types of helmets (SAR Edition only). The silicone headband can be used normally in the temperature range of -20° C to 120° C.
*The SAR Edition should only be worn with a helmet. The SAR Edition is NOT compatible with the ALG-03 V2.0 and ALG-04 helmet mounts. The helmet mounts are only compatible with the Standard Edition HP35R.
Operation of the Fenix HP35R
You operate the Fenix HP35 with the rotary switch on the side of the headlamp. By turning the switch, you switch between the three light modes. With the button on the side of the switch, you select the desired output: low, medium, high or turbo.
Light modes of the Fenix HP35R
- Spotlight mode:
- Turbo: 3000 lumens, burn time of 5 hours and 43 minutes. Range of 440 meters.*
- High: 800 lumens, burn time of 11 hours and 40 minutes. Range of 230 meters.
- Med: 350 lumens, burn time of 28 hours and 24 minutes. Range of 151 meters.
- Low: 50 lumens, 120 hour burn time. 56 meter range.
- Floodlight mode:
- Turbo: 1200 lumens, 8 hour burn time. 122 meter range.*
- High: 400 lumens, 30 hour and 48 minute burn time. 68 meter range.
- Med: 50 lumens, 120 hour burn time. 24 meter range.
- Low: 5 lumens, 500 hour burn time. 7 meter range.
- Spotlight & Floodlight mode combined:
- Turbo: 4000 lumens, 4 hour and 17 minute burn time. 450 meter range.
- High: 1200 lumens, 8 hour burn time. 214 meter range.
- Med: 400 lumens, 18 hour burn time. 153 meter range.
- Low: 50 lumens, 120-hour burn time. Range of 55 meters.
*The burn time of the highest light mode is calculated at the moment of switching on the light at the highest mode. After 2-3 minutes, the light automatically switches to the lower light mode by the temperature control when the light reaches a temperature of 55°C or higher.
Intelligent brightness reduction function
The Fenix HP35R has an intelligent brightness reduction function to avoid potentially dangerous high temperatures in close-range lighting. When an object comes close (60 mm) into the path of the light, the headlamp automatically switches back to a lower light mode. This prevents you from accidentally burning yourself or your equipment. When the light head is removed from the illuminated object for more than 1.2 seconds, the headlamp automatically restores the previously used brightness level.
Fenix HP35R battery pack
The battery pack contains two built-in 5000mAh batteries and can be used as a power bank to charge other devices. The battery pack can be worn separately (an extension cable is included) or on the back of the headband. A red safety light is built into the battery housing to make yourself or your location visible in an emergency. You activate this by holding down the button on the side of the battery pack. Check the battery status by quickly pressing the button once.
