This guide includes the equipped paths and the via ferratas that progress along the Dolomite mountain reliefs that frame the three Ladin valleys of GardenaFassa and Badia.

The description of the 43 itineraries is as detailed as possible, including the classification of technical and environmental difficultiesapproach and via ferrata times, total excursion timealtitude gainphysical effortexposure and maximum altitudes.

The introduction provides historical information on the origin of the via ferratas, an explanation of the classification (which follows the Austrian scale), information on safety in the mountains and along an equipped route and the safety devices necessary.

The author has personally completed the described itineraries, collecting all the useful information on the field and taking most of the photos. The guidec is completed by a detailed map of each route and a valuable drawing that illustrates the route, indicating the key passages and technical difficulties section by section.

The guide is useful both for beginners who want to approach this discipline (thanks to the many easy itineraries included) and for more experienced hikers who will find here some of the most challenging routes in the Dolomites.

Marco Corriero was born in Padua in 1971 and as a child he took his first steps on the trails of Val Gardena and Alpe di Siusi. Over the years he has gradually approached the fascinating world of via ferratas, to the point where in recent years he has completed over 300 of them. It is thanks to this profound knowledge that the author wants to convey to the reader his passion for this mountaineering discipline. He currently lives in the heart of the Dolomites dedicating himself, among other things, to writing guidebooks and mountain photography.
