Ascending

Rappel backup rope clamp Used under the rappel device, the SHUNT acts as a rappel backup and absorbs friction hitches like the Prusik. Works on one and half ropes. Single rope 10-11 mm or double ropes 8-11 mm.

Short length of 8 mm rope (90 cm) sewn with eyelets for making self-closing (prusik) knots. highly heat-resistant aramid fibers in the Volcano, it is protected against melting and the service life is significantly extended.

A compact ventral ascender for ascending ropes. An ergonomic protruding lever facilitates operation of the cams. All-metal construction of the operating mechanism to increase durability.

The shape of the ascending motion allows it to be held with two hands when ascending rope: one on the side below the trigger and one above. The handle is reinforced for ergonomics and comfort.
