Petzl Spelegyca

Asymmetric lanyard Y shape, used for caving and canyoning.

This lanyard is often used in combination with a riser clamp to rise along a rope. The Spelegyca is also used to traverse horizontally along a line.
The lanyard is asymmetric so that there is always the choice to use the long or the short arm. Also, the different arm length convenient as it passes through an intermediate anchor point.
The ends are provided with rubber in order to keep the karabiners in position and to protect the winding against wear.
The Petzl Spelegyca is not suitable for via ferrata.

To keep the carabiner in place and protect the strap loop from friction, the Petzl String, a specially designed plastic protector, is available in width size L.
